April is driven by love, and her music truly shows this. Though she may only be 27, she had to grow up fast; whether it was dealing with her parents divorce as a child or her father’s death as an adult; through it all she found herself. Music has always played a huge role in April's life, whether it has been with the violin, private teaching, or composing her own songs on the piano. She pours her heart and soul into every note. It is here that April takes you on a journey through her heartache and love; her dreams and fears.
April’s second album, 'wide.awake' is filled with love and hope, something that is lacking more and more in today's music. Her gentle music & hypnotic drum beats paired with her angelic, yet haunting voice make for a truly touching experience. At times her songs sound almost melancholy but the message usually remains the same, full of hope. April's voice is a rare mix of folk and pop music with a hint soul; it is here that she truly shines. With the ability to hold your attention at a mere whisper, it is clear that she has genuine gift for song and storytelling. April's creativity is astounding, her energy endless.
April's third and most current album, 'secret lives of whispers' picks up where 'wide.awake' left off. You can really see her growth in this cd. Her vocals are more controlled, the music a little more technical and complicated. Her haunting voice barely over a whisper as she lets you into her world. This is her most intimate cd to date.
Aside from the cd's she has done in this style she also has 4 instrumental cd's to date. The first is a cd the features only the piano. 'Lost in A Moment' tells the story of two people who meet and fall in love. Her second cd, 'Soundscapes' is almost like the soundtrack for her moods. It takes you on this journey that explores unknown thoughts. The third is an improv piano solo cd called 'Shades of Blue'. Her 4th cd is called 'Stargazing', this cd features delicate piano melodies delicately layered upon each other.

When she’s not writing and recording new songs, she is hard at work designing the artwork for them, making candles and jewelry for family and friends, or spending time with her amazing husband, her inspiration for many of her songs. New and delightful things are constantly spinning out of April and she has no plans on stopping anytime soon.
